avaé Photo Guide.
At Avaé, our consulting focuses solely on the objective analysis of bone structure and proportions, providing precise and data-driven styling solutions.
Unlike mood, impression, or demeanor—which are subjective factors that can be perceived differently by each individual—Avaé bases its recommendations on measurable forms and numerical standards, ensuring consistent and accurate results across hair, makeup, fashion, and personal colour.
The most reliable material for bone structure analysis is a photograph. Photos reveal structural details far more clearly than the naked eye. However, the accuracy of analysis can vary depending on angle, distance, or lighting. This is why following Avaé’s Photo Guide is essential: it minimizes distortion and allows us to evaluate your natural proportions with precision.
The Avaé Photo Guide is built on years of research, practical testing, and case studies, ensuring that the captured images reflect your true structural features as accurately as possible. By adhering to the guidelines below, you enable us to deliver a thorough and reliable analysis.
Before You Take Your Photos
1. Clothing: Wear a fitted, plain black singlet that shows your shoulders and collarbones.
2. Background & Lighting:
-
Plain, light-coloured background (avoid peach tones)
-
Ensure clear contrast between your face and background
-
Place lighting in front of you, not above or behind
3. Camera: Use the rear camera in standard mode (no wide-angle).
Ask someone to take the photos or use a tripod.
4. Make-up: Light everyday make-up or no make-up.
